The Department of Mathematics, the 1998 winner of The Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring, provides a supportive environment for graduate students preparing for high level careers in mathematics. Our students receive training in all aspect of the discipline and have many opportunities to become involved in the profession.
